Comma on a Pedestal

After breakfast, Tiff and I mosied over to the studio. I wanted to show her some of the work that Curt and I have done the past few weeks. She really enjoyed the paintings and commented that I had "really made the place my own", which incidentally she straightened up :)

Having her there filled me with inspiration, so I began "Comma on a Pedestal". I deployed some paint - blues, black, white and yellow - with painting knives. The background was left as blank canvas. We agreed that it would look great to cover the background with napkins, so we left the studio with the intent to return to napkin the background. Shortly after, I came across a stash of napkins that I plan to use for the background covering. They are cocktail napkins whose content is appropriate and reflective of my judgment of the person whose comments were the seed for the "comma on a pedestal" notion.
