The Art of Fatherhood Part II

Tonight a friend and I created a moment of art. It was beautiful. It was meaningful. It was memorable. It was living life in the moment, for the moment, and for the bringing together of our spirits. We became closer to one tonight. So with this insight, I declare that for a moment to qualify as "art" it must include an experience that fundamentally brings the moment artists closer to oneness. Oneness being an evolving understanding by this momentual artist to include love, unconditional and devoted love, unconditional compassion and caring, and nurturing so that the momentual artists present mutually walk away from the experience feeling that THAT moment, that specific moment, brought them closer. A moment of feeling the everlasting power of love, comfort, acceptance, joy and peace. Because these emotions are so grand, so powerful, so transcending, that they are not only important and significant and meaningful, but they in fact define our co-existence as human beings. Human beings in search and whose sole purpose in the journey of life is to experience "heaven on earth". This "Kingdom of God" is the celebration, appreciation and expression of what it is to be. To be human. To experience emotion. To live it. To share it. To be it. To welcome it. To foster it. To create a life canvas that supports it and cultivates it. In whatever REAL media is accessible at THAT moment. If that moment creates something tangible for the world to see, so be it. If that moment creates something "intangible" to be known only as a memory for those in participation of THAT moment, as experienced by the momentual artists, so be it. And the faith is that this is real art. This is THE real art. And if the institution that is "art" does not accept it as "art" then this art does not want any thing at all whatsoever to do with THAT "art".

And we are artists nonetheless.

And every now and then. Every now and again. We record it. We take pause from being. We take pause from living art. Living life as art. To record it. To record that moment of REAL art. Real life. Real living. Real celebration. Real living and loving. And with the technology and resources that abound to us, to record it so that a tangible record CAN exist of THAT so very POWERFUL, SIGNIFICANT, PURPOSEFUL moment. The thing that rises above all over things. So that someone down the line. Someone in search of what life is. Will see it. Will feel it. Will hear it. Will love it. Will experience it. At a level that transcends their intellect. And they just know it. They are it. It is them. Because it is one with them it is so fucking honest. And they just can't tell you. They cannot express the words to fathom the deepest understanding of it. Because they can never, will never be able to express it. Because it goes straight through the crack of our consciousness. Straight to the most significant aspect of our being. Straight to the nugget. Straight to the soul. Straight to the spirit. Straight to the thing that binds us. That brings us together. That cannot and can never be expressed in words, paint, film, audio. That cannot be expressed because it's so universally available. So public domain. So darn accessible. If you only do it so that that you be it. Be art. Be the moment. Live the moment. Love the moment. Create the everlasting bond between you and others so that you join the oneness together. So that at the end of the day. At the very end of the day. When you lose all cognition. You just simply KNOW it. That is art. That is love. That is the very fundamental purpose of our being. That is art. Live it and love it. Amen.
